The lesson observations in Germany had to be postponed to the end of the project due to the Corona pandemic. The lesson observations with preparation and follow-up took place over three days from 24.05.2022 to 26.05.2022:
Day 1: Preparation for the classroom observations at the University of Education Heidelberg
Day 2: Lesson observations at the community school in Ludwigsburg
Day 3: Reflection on observations at the University of Education Heidelberg
From the 17th to the 20th February 2020, the members of the participating universities and four teachers from Germany, Austria and Cyprus met at the Vaajakumpu School in Finland to observe lessons of the Finnish teachers. The teaching observations in biology, chemistry, physics and geography, which amounted to nine in total, allowed all participants to gain an insight into science teaching and school life at a Finnish school. The impressions and results gained in the reflections of the lesson observations showed possibilities of differentiation, and respectively revealed unresolved challenges in the development of the differentiation concept.
